When I needed to transport my Dad to the Mayo Clinic for special treatment, I was hoping that there was an air ambulance Florida could provide me: I was looking not just for someone who could do the job, but an air ambulance specialist. I was surprised to find out that there we aircrafts made up just for the purpose of transporting patients. Our social worker found someone to help us, who I would like to call and angel with wings. When the day came to send my dad from Miami , Florida up north to our new hospital, I had built up so much anxiety. I was really happy to know that the social workers at the hospital and the Florida air ambulance staff were there to help me. I met a lot of individuals that were genuine and it made them feel good inside just to help us. My Dad and I truly felt that we had a team all around us, from every angle to help us (Which, if you have any experience in dealing with some hospitals and clinics, is truly, a breath of fresh air.) I packed my fathers few clothes that he had and a small duffle bag for myself, and that morning, the medical crew from the air ambulance came to pick us up directly from the hospital. My father was on a respirator and they did not want to switch equipment from the ground ambulance to the air ambulance, knowing it would be a lot easier on him. We road in an ambulance, with the air ambulance specialist medical team on board, and arrived at the airplane twenty five minutes later. It was an airplane with a bed on board, and all kinds of medical equipment and medical staff. It looked like a little hospital inside of a plane. Also, we went right up to the airplane: we did not have to deal with all of the hassles and tribulations of going through a regular airport. Now that we were in the air ambulance Florida was behind us and we began our new journey safely thanks to one air ambulance specialist.
